Privacy Policy

In all legal, commercial and administrative regards, the V1P Twitch extension and V1P.online website is published, owned and represented by a European company, referred to in these Terms of Service with "We", "Us", "Our", "V1P" or "V1P.online" and for the purposes of applicable EU data protection law (including the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 aka GDPR), we are a 'data controller' of your personal information.

We take privacy and security very seriously and always try to go the extra mile to make sure that your data is protected and that we don't collect or store any information from you that is not relevant to our services. And since we want to be transparent about how we process your information, we are providing detailed insight into when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

Cookies

Cookies are small data files which are placed on your device as you use the V1P Twitch extension and/or browse this website. They are used to 'remember' information when your computer or device accesses our Services. We use cookies to remember a few settings and details that allow us to make things more convenient for you. You may set your browser to block cookies but this may disable some of the website's functionality.

Here's what our cookies do:

  • If you logged in or 'connected' to our Service using your Twitch account or other third party service, some session/account data is stored to let you access your conversations with the AI chatbots and to keep track of the content you've created and/or posted through the extension or website.
  • Google Analytics and other analytics trackers may store some information to help give us an overview of visitor statistics (more information on this below).
  • Cloudfront, which helps speed up page-loading and protect our website against DDoS-attacks, may store some information that allows them to decide whether or not to grant you access to our pages.

When someone visits V1P.online and/or uses the V1P Twitch extension, we may use Google Analytics and other analytics methods and services to collect standard Internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the sites. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow third party analytics services to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Your Account

Our Service simply lets users connect with an existing account from an integrated social media platform such as Twitch. Since V1P allows you to interact with Twitch in a variety of ways, we may explicitly request access to a range of Twitch account permissions when you choose to connect or log in. This process gives you a complete and transparent view on any and all Twitch account permissions that the extension can access before you choose to allow or reject these permissions.

Only if you choose to 'Authorize' this request, which lists all the details upon connecting, do we get access to any of this information and functionality. You can completely revoke our access at any time from the Connections tab in the Twitch Settings.

After connecting with your account, the following data may be stored on our servers:

  • Your message history or transcript from your chat and call sessions
  • The content and characters you have created or posted using the extension
  • Your Dashboard preferences
  • Twitch account information that is required for us to associate relevant viewer interactions such as subscriptions with your account
  • Basic session logging details such as IP's and timestamps so that we can track and prevent potential abuse
  • Avatars, nicknames and/or emotes publicly displayed by your Twitch account

Streaming and Videocalling

For our videocalling Twitch extension feature, we offer an audiovisual AI avatar that can act as a co-streamer or engage in a videocall with you. When enabled, this feature may collect and/or process the following data when explicitly granted access:

  • Without storing any recording, audio from an audio source such as your microphone (when voice activation or auto streaming is enabled). Note that audio is processed by our AI to generate responses but is not recorded or stored by us.
  • Without storing any recording, video from your webcam, virtual camera or other video source (if access is granted). Note that video is processed by our AI to generate responses but is not recorded or stored by us.
  • Relevant livestream data (eg. donations, subscriptions, chat messages, followers etc)

This data is collected and processed in real-time solely for the purpose of enabling the AI avatar to interact naturally with you and your audience during your livestream. The collection and processing of this data occur only when you actively enable the features and is limited to the context of your stream or videocall. We do not store or retain this audio or video data beyond the immediate needs of the livestream or videocall interaction. All processing is done in compliance with applicable data protection laws, and we implement appropriate security measures to protect your privacy. You can disable this feature at any time through the browser extension settings, which will immediately stop any processing of audio or video data.

How We Keep Your Personal Information Secure

We store personal information on secure servers that are managed by us and our service providers. These servers are protected by security and access controls as well as data encryption where possible and appropriate and are only accessible to limited, specific and qualified team members.

  • Public authorities: We may exchange data with public authorities in response to lawful requests
  • In addition, when interacting with the AI chatbots on inside the Twitch chat, all messages sent via Twitch's native chat will be accessible by Twitch. Therefore we also encourage you to check Twitch's Terms of Services (click the link to read it) to learn more about their data processing practices.

In addition, you also have the following rights and options:

We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
